Today, is the winter solstice in the Northern Hemisphere, bringing us the shortest
day and longest night of the year. From now on the days will start to lengthen, but before we think of Spring and getting back into our gardens, we have a celebration - Christmas...
I personally love Christmas especially if it's a white one, but alas according to MeteoTimes my wish won't come true as quite mild temperatures of 11 degrees Celsius are predicted rain replacing any earlier sleet or snow in most areas (obviously santa's not read my letter!).
Winter was certainly here with cold winds a little frost although no snow, but it has abated for now with temperatures pleasantly mild in comparison to 2010. Unseasonal if you ask me!
I do hope you'll find ways of enjoying the weather over the Christmas break whatever you're up to. Soon enough, it will be Spring and we'll be complaining that that it's too warm!
May I wish you and yours a very Happy and Peaceful Christmas. Enjoy yourselves whatever you are doing.
